Meet Dr. Ed Francisco
Dr. Ed Francisco has served the people of Tampa Bay since 1993. He loves practicing dentistry and masterfully caring for every patient’s individual needs. He genuinely cares about finding the best possible solutions through personalized service and a focus on each patient’s care.
Patients often compliment Dr. Francisco for his calm, reassuring, and down to earth demeanor. He strives to make every patient as comfortable as possible. It’s not just about your teeth either, as he wants to know you as a person and give you a unique, personalized experience in his office.
Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Francisco and his family moved to the United States in 1971 and soon thereafter became naturalized citizens. They established their home in Hampton Roads, Virginia. His mother, a Registered Nurse and head of hospital pediatrics, was a positive influence on his early interest in the science and healthcare fields.
Dr. Francisco received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia in 1993 after completing his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Math from James Madison University. He accepted a residency offer from the University of Florida and was certified in Advanced General Dentistry in 1994.
Upon completion of his residency, he was ingrained in the Tampa community and saw it as his permanent home. He began his career assisting various dental offices throughout Tampa Bay while searching for a location to launch his practice. He located a former podiatrist office for sale in the heart of South Tampa and immediately saw his vision before his eyes. After a yearlong, painstaking renovation to the facility, he opened his practice in April 1996 and has built one of Tampa’s premier dental practices, one new patient at a time.
Dr. Francisco maintains a weekly exercise routine at the gym and is an avid jogger on Bayshore Boulevard. He runs the Gasparilla 15K Distance Classic annually. He also participates in a daily meditation routine. He is an avid reader and US history buff and enjoys classical music and movies. Lastly, he enjoys traveling with his family and has an awesome Maltese dog that loves coming to the office.
Dr. Francisco is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and Hillsborough County Dental Association.
